We hired 2 helpers for 3 hours to unload a 20-ft truck. It’s taken me a couple of weeks to post this review, feeling that with time I could be objective/fair. Our helpers did show up right at the end of the “arrival window” committed to. They were courteous the entire time and respectful of our belongings. They did not bring a hand truck or furniture dolly, which I was very clear in my order that those items would be needed. One of the guys seemed like he was still glazed over from the night before, I could smell alcohol on his breath. For his safety (and others) I asked the other helper “will this guy be OK”? We forged ahead. Four of our friends (65-70 yrs old) unloaded and moved inside 2/3 of the load from the truck during the hour and a half prior to the Helpers arrival onsite, leaving only a large/heavy bedroom set and 2 other smaller dresser pieces to be unloaded, carried to and setup on the second floor. Two and a half hours after their arrival, the helpers had finally completed the task of unloading and moving the furniture up to the second floor, with my help and oversight. They did not know how to reassemble the oak bedframe, nor did the helpers seem to “work smart”. I will concede, it was hot that day. Following a break and hydration, the helpers carried a dozen larger/ heavier boxes to the upstairs which were left at the front door by the 65–70-year-olds as they were too heavy for us to carry those up to the second floor. With 15 minutes remaining of the contracted 3 hours, I told the helpers they were finished and thanked them for their help. My wife and I considered it a win that the furniture made it off the truck and up to the second floor with no damage, and that nobody got hurt. To provide perspective, entire 20’ truck was loaded and packed up at our old home in 2 ½ hours. We will not be using this company again, nor would I recommend.
